Open September to April

Woody Island itself is 240 hectares of nature reserve vested in the Western Australian Department of Conservation & Land Management ( CALM ), with only 5 hectares developed for the Eco-stays by Mackenzie's Island Cruises.

Transport on the island is by foot with 4 bushwalks clearly marked. The climate on Woody Island is mild temperate with maximum temperatures ranging from low 20's in September/ October to mid 30's in January/ February.

Mackenzies Island Cruises offers daily transfers to Woody Island:
  • Bay of Isles Wildlife Cruise departing daily at 9am, arriving 10.45am.
  • Direct Ferry (operates Dec 26 to Jan 26 only) departing at 7.30 am, arriving at 8.00am or 12.30pm, arriving at 1.00pm.
