Woody Island Visitors Centre

With stunning views overlooking Shearwater Bay, the Woody Island Visitor Centre contains:
- A kiosk
- Interpretative display,
- Souvenir section,
- Two large deck areas with seating facilities, and
- Caretaker's quarters.
It is a day use facility where morning tea for the cruise passengers and breakfast and lunch for campers are served.
The Woody Island Visitor Centre is available to be hired for functions.
Meals on Woody Island
Marvel at the view over Shearwater Bay while enjoying a meal.
Purchase a delicious cooked breakfast or lunch from the Woody Island Cafe. Evening meals are self catered. A variey of prepared meals and packs are available for your convenience to purchase and cook in our camper's kitchens.
Campers' Kitchen
Situated in the general camping area, the campers' kitchen houses:

- Three gas BBQ's (free of charge),
- Four-burner gas stove,
- Three fridges, two with a small freezer,
- Bench space and sinks,
- Two undercover deck areas with tables and chairs,
- Lounges,
- Gas heaters, and
- Basic cooking equipment including:
- Stove-top kettle,
- Saucepans,
- Frypans, and
- Stove-top toaster.
- BYO cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and tea towel or alternatively hire these items from the kiosk.
Ablution Blocks
There are three ablution blocks available on Woody Island:

- Day use visitors have access to an environmentally friendly composting toilet block at the Visitor Centre;
- The Safari Huts are serviced by a unique unisex composting toilets and shower facility;
Children's Playground
A small children's playground is located next to the Campers' Kitchen and includes:
- Slide,
- Swings,
- Climbing apparatus,
- Cubby house, and
- Wooden noughts and crosses game.
